Young Dong Lee, the president and founder of Coby Electronics Corporation, came to United States in the early 80’s. He came with only few dollars in his pocket, but with a grand corporate vision in his mind with a dutiful civic desire burned in his heart.
His civic desire can be summed up in what he refers to it as “Cowboy Foundation”. The Cowboy Foundation’s goal is to support the individuals and organizations that help the needy, especially in third world countries. He gives much of the credit for the Cowboy Foundation to his parents, and his sister who instilled in him the burden, desire, and responsibility to always help the needy. And he is ever grateful for the sacrifices made by his family and all Coby members whose efforts made it possible to carry out the Cowboy Foundation.
